Yes, another picture of Fairburn Ings. This is an old photo that I did some processing on, as I learn new techniques in photoshop I need to try them out and what better way than on old photos?

I uploaded this one just to share with you all :)

Ah, that's pretty. :) The reflections are nice, and it's interesting how the wires grid the sky.. Nice shot.

I liked the wires in the sky too, most people think that pylons are ugly, but captured in the right way they become art. :)

Thank you :hug: The power lines work in this shot because they are not all in the same direction etc and they fill the sky rather than just part of it....... I like pylons :)

You really like your powerlines and blurred swans, huh? Very distinctive style you have, with a wonderful eye for unusual composition. Not sure the black border works very well with this shot, it gets lost around the bottom of the image... mind you, i'm not a fan of borders anyway and i don't have any suggestions for how to improve it so you might be better off ignoring me :)

These photos were all taking in a local area. I have not been down to Fairburn Ings for a while (there are only so many shot one can take like these), and they were all taken around the same time whilst I was trying to experiment and get used to my Infrared lens. I processed this shot last night trying a few different things and I mainly did it for a friend who didn't really like the pink of the others and wanted to see a blue one. :)

I think they work well as a series. I don't think there will be any more swans and powerlines for a while (but you never know ;) I have learnt to work with pylons, I can't pull them out of the ground......................

As for the border. I know what you mean about it being lost at the bottom but I think it works better with a black border as opposed to a white one. I guess that is only a minor thing though. The photo did need a border.

The grid looks really cool. Its really nice to see that things that can look ugly also have the potential to look very beautiful too!
